NY State Senator Tom Duane Fights For People Living With AIDS. * YOU MUST WATCH THIS!!! *

Before the New York State Senate closed July 17, Sen. Tom Duane, gay and HIV positive, gave an impassioned, riveting speech reminding us all what the AIDS epidemic was at its worst during the 1980s.

The speech was in favor of a bill to cap the amount HIV-positive recipients of state aid would have to pay for housing at 30%, instead of the current $330/month ($11/day) above their rent they're allowed to keep.

If you want to see what passion is, you NEED to watch this. It's 22 minutes long, but it's worth it.

For once we have an elected official doing the work of the people. He got a standing ovation at the end. Bravo to him!

FYI: The bill passed the senate 52-1, and is under review in the assembly.
