Blood-Stained Women's Blouse Found in Michael Jackson's Closet

A photograph of a bloodied women's blouse is among a series of images printed in The Sun newspaper today showing the inside of the rented Los Angeles home where Michael Jackson died in June.

The image of the white top shows its price tag still attached, prompting suggestions that it could have been used to mop up blood; It was not taken into evidence by police.

"It's pretty extraordinary that a bloody shirt would not be taken as evidence," attorney Craig Silverman said.

He added that it could be a clue to what went wrong with Dr Conrad Murray's treatment of Michael or his attempts to revive him.

The blouse's label reads, "Women's Clothing – Casual Top" with a price of $3.99.

Los Angeles police told the newspaper that they could not explain why the garment was not seized.
