AJ Jewell's Alleged Killer: 'I'm The Victim'

Frederick Richardson, the man who stands accused of killing AJ Jewell, the former fiancè of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star Kandi Burruss, appeared in court today requesting that all charges against him be dismissed.

"[AJ's] not the victim. I'm the victim," Frederick told Fulton County Superior Court Judge Karen Woodson this afternoon, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The judge denied his request to throw out the voluntary manslaughter charge.

Last October, Frederick and AJ got into a brawl outside the Atlanta strip club where they both worked. Frederick has said from the outset that AJ started the fight and that AJ pulled a gun on him, but the autopsy from the medical examiner said AJ died from "complications of his natural disease"; complications that caused by the fight. Immediately after those results were published, AJ's parents challenged it and have requested that their son's body be exhumed and a second, independent autopsy be conducted.

Fulton District Attorney Paul Howard will decide if Frederick will be prosecuted based on the findings of the second autopsy.
