Judge Who Tried To Solicit Woman For Sex (and a better attorney) Resigns

A Houston judge has resigned weeks after he was conviction of trying to woo a woman facing a drunken-driving charge, KPRC Local 2 reports.

Judge Donald Jackson delivered the one-sentence letter of resignation yesterday to county commissioners; It's effective at 5pm tomorrow.

Judge Jackson, a criminal court judge, saw a 28-year woman in his court room and offered her a better court-appointed attorney if she'd agree to have sex with him.

Clearly, he didn't think that was OK. Or did he?

He was convicted of the misdemeanor earlier this month and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, two years probation, 200 hours of community service, a $4,000 fine and ordered to legal ethics courses.

This judge did it bigger and better than Donald ever could.
