A 1-month-old baby boy was hospitalized with a fractured skull and brain trauma after his father -- that man in the mug shot above -- punched him in the head at about 7am this morning in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Police say Mario James, 36, was beating up his wife (throwing body blows) while she held their infant son, when at least one of his punches landed in the child's head. The boy was taken to Broward General Medical Center where doctors found he had a fractured skull and at least three different areas of brain bleeding.
Mario? Well, he was taken to jail. He's charged with one count of aggravated child abuse and one count of domestic violence battery.
The baby is expected to survive.
