Mother Leaves 1-year-old Child Outside in Shopping Cart While She Went Inside Store to Steal

Let's get to the donkey of the day.

According to police, 31-year-old Teresa Stokes left her 1-year-old child in a shopping cart outside a CVS store in Macclenny, Fla. while she went inside for about five minutes to rob the joint.

A store employee noticed the child in the shopping cart in the parking lot and called police.

When police arrived, mother of the year Teresa said she only left her baby outside for about 10 seconds -- but after looking at surveillance tape, police said it was more like five minutes. In any event, she was given a verbal warning and was free to go.

Also on the surveillance video? Teresa leaving the store with $423.84 worth of goods -- that she didn't pay for. When she was confronted, Teresa said the receipt was in her car and she was going to get it. But she never returned.

Cops arrested her at her home and charged her with grand larceny.
