Mystikal Released From Prison After Six Years on Sexual Battery Charge
Grammy-nominated rapper Mystikal, who spent six years in jail for sexual battery and extortion, was released from Louisiana's Elayn Hunt Correction Center yesterday.
The victim, the rapper's hair stylist at the time, accused Mystikal of forcing her to give him a professional while his two bodyguards, Leland "Pokie" Ellis and Vercy "V" Carter, filmed it. She said they also accused her of stealing $80,000 worth of his checks. She denied stealing any money. Mystikal originally pled not guilty to the charges but after the video surfaced he was forced to plead guilty and was sentenced to six years in prison. The bodyguards also pleaded guilty to sexual battery. Leland, 37, received three years in prison, and Vercy, 35, got four.
After his release, Mystikal called in to Q9, a New Orleans radio station, and gave jock Wild Wayne insight as to what he did behind bars and his plans now that he's free.
