Teddy Pendergrass is Dead

Soul and R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass died at Bryn Mawr Hospital in his native Philadelphia yesterday. He was 59.

According to the Associated Press, the singer had been hospitalized for months because he didn't fully recover from colon cancer surgery which he had eight months ago.

Teddy was one of the most electric and successful figures in music until a car crash 28 years ago left him in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the waist down.

You know the rumors surrounding the accident. This is neither the time nor place to rehash them.

What we will do, however, is leave you with one Teddy's classic hits.

RIP TP
Ok, I held my tongue for a week, now it's time to bring the heat.

Hmm, I wonder where Turquoise Erving is and what she has to say about this. Overdue for a confession Turq? If Wendy were speaking about her, she'd say "Turquoise, LEGENDARY"
