At Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party inside the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, Mary J Blige was about to perform "No More Drama" when the diva inside decided she needed some face time, too.
According to the Daily Mail, as the band began to play the song's intro, she told them to stop, waved her arms angrily and demanded: "Can we get the right music for Mary J Blige?...Are we practicing still?"
What?!!!
Those in attendance, looked on in disbelief as it is not considered the right thing to criticize your band - all top of the line professionals - at such an event.
The room felt cool towards her during her set, but once she was done performing it seemed like the audience forgave her outburst, because they gave her a standing ovation.
Or -- perhaps! -- they were being polite.
