Racist? Or Just Tasty?

Above is a photo posted to Twitter by Questlove, drummer for the Roots, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon band leader, and NBC employee. We imagine he'll be hauled into a meeting because of this.

Update: Questlove is a donkey. Chef Leslie Calhoun, who's black, created. She tells the New York Post:

“Questlove, who I serve every day and who enjoys my food, requested the neck bone [cooked in] the black-eyed peas and fried chicken, then got off the line, saying, ‘This is racist.' The next thing you know, people were taking pictures of the sign and asking all the other black people in the cafeteria if this was racist. They said that it wasn’t.”

After the "racist" dust storm, NBC pulled the menu.

Leslie explains further:

I'm indifferent. It's just not that offensive BUT I would have like to have see the title "Soul Food" above the menu. Btw, that price is a deal, I'd give it a try.

Just tasty.

Although, the previous commenter has a point. If they had included "Soul Food", nobody would have batted an eye. Well, probably. Some people are so fucking touchy these days.
