Wait a New York minute! Why is 27-year-old driver Miodrag Mejdina apologizing to Naomi Campbell?
After he said she knocked him up side the head on Tuesday, which resulted in him going to a police precint to report the assault and received medical treatment for a black eye, Miodrag issued a statement, through his lawyer this afternoon, that basically says he "had an argumement" with the supermodel and “got angry and overreacted” by getting the NYPD involved and "this whole thing has been blown out of proportion and I apologize to Ms. Campbell for causing that to happen."
What?!? So, he ran into a door handle and his wounds were self-inflicted?
Everyone is suggesting that Naomi, or her billionaire MARRIED boyfriend, paid off the driver so as not to violate her probation. We don't know. We weren't at any secret meetings.
But what's really shocking is that almost immediately after Miodrag's press conference, Naomi held her own.
She -- OK, her paid spokesperson -- said: "On Tuesday, March 2nd I was accused of unacceptable behavior towards a driver in New York. I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past. I try to treat everyone with respect and I am pleased the driver has apologized. I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on."
She offered no explanation as to why she fled the scene after the alleged attack, however.
But, wait! An anonymous source is saying this is not the first time Naomi disciplined a chauffeur.
The former employee says: "She has hit drivers before. She wants to control everyone all the time. She wants to have everything go how she wants it to go. She's usually late and the driver takes the heat for not getting her there fast enough. She might want him to run a light and he won't. It can be a small thing that escalates and she freaks out... her emotions can quickly turn to rage!"
Oy!
Addendum: When a reporter asked the driver if he was paid for his recantation, his lawyer said, "The statement speaks for itself. We have no further comment."

I couldn't believe this when I read it. He apologized to Naomi???? Yea, the dude was paid a HUGE sum of money to make this go away.
Naomi is thisclose to getting a beat down from somebody. She can't keep getting away with this.
For Naomi to be as beautiful as she is, she needs to chill out and grow up, this makes no sense to act a plumb fool over something so small. When the people she is attacking starts retaliating back on her she should just sit there and take it because what goes around comes around. She is no better than the next person, no matter how much money she has. Pride comes before a fall, and she is down road to falling with this type behavior. When you know better you do better. I guess she hasn't paid enough money to get the point. You need Jesus Christ Naomi
