Only the best for John Edwards' mistress and she got just that. Oprah landed Rielle Hunter's first televised interview, which she taped in Charlotte, NC yesterday and will air in a few months.
After the taping, Oprah told NewsChannel 36: "This was a great interview. We talked for about two and a half hours. She was genuine, I thought, and authentic. I think we'll see a side of her that, certainly, I've never known. I enjoyed the conversation. ... I had no resistance from Rielle Hunter on any questions whatsoever. She was really forthcoming. She was very open. She was very candid, and I would have to say, I felt, pretty truthful."
While it would make for interesting conversation, we really don't need any more details about her sex tape.
Sidebar: This morning Oprah announced that she will debut a new thrice-weekly talk show on her cable channel beginning fall 2011 called "Oprah's Next Chapter". The show, that we we told you about last year, will not be filmed in a studio, but have Oprah interviewing newsmakers in different parts of the world.
