It Gets Better!

The recent media attention on bullying has put a spotlight on what's been really going on in our neighborhoods for years -- gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and questioning teens have been committing suicides at an alarming rate. To help, The Trevor Project, a suicide prevention hotline for these teens, has developed a new campaign with three little words: "It Gets Better." It's-Me-Kathy-Griffin and Tim Gunn are among some of the famous faces making impassioned pleas and sharing personal stories that hopefully give any teen contemplating suicide hope. Trust us, it does get better. To find out more about The Trevor Project (or to donate), go here. If you need help, call them. The hotline is open 24 hours.

These teens are part of the Make it Better project, which gives gay teens information on how to make their lives better now.

Update: Forth Worth City, Texas Councilman Joel Burns shares his story of being victimized and bullied as a teenager because he was different. You must watch this.
