Lawrence Taylor, the Hall of Fame NFL football player, who was arrested last May at a upstate New York hotel after having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute, pleaded guilty this afternoon to misdemeanor charges of sexual misconduct and soliciting a prostitute. He will not go to jail.
He admitted to having sex with the girl in exchange for a sentence that includes six years of probation. There will reportedly be a future trial to determine whether LT has to register a sex offender. Prosecutors originally offered L.T. a felony plea deal that would have included a mandatory 6-month jail term, 10 years probation and required registry as a sex offender. Defense Attorney Arthur Aidala called the deal unacceptable and rejected it.Lawrence's admission of guilt will just confuse his crazy wife, Lynette, even further. Poor thing.
