Landlord Gives Delinquent Tenant a Not-So-Subtle Hint That He Wants Her Out

A Houston landlord, fed up with a "cancerous" tenant who hasn't paid rent in three months, decided to take matters in his own hands this week by removing the tenant's (Lisa Owens) breaker boxes. Uh-oh! By forgoing an official eviction process and disconnecting the heat and electricity in the dead winter, the landlord probably violated several housing codes and laws which paves the way for a possible lawsuit by Lisa the moocher.

Sidebar: After Fox 26 ran the above story, the landlord (or his agent) fired off this greasy statement:
Lisa Owens began her residency at 5109 Clover by providing false Paystubs. She paid rent the first month and stopped in September. At one point we paid for her water and power but we could no longer afford to do so. She promised every month that she would pay and she never did. She gave stories of being out of work and being abused by a lover. She was simply manipulating the management into letting her stay at the property for free until her lease was up. We have an extensive email and voicemail trail. As early as last Thursday she promised to pay something on Friday and lied again. She called Friday to let us know that she intended to stay through January and move on to lie and steal from another property in February. We haven't received a dollar from her in months. She signed a lease waiving her rights to a 30 day eviction process if she was more than two months in arrears. The complex is small and we are paid when rents come in. At our discretion, we must remove residents who have become cancerous to the facility. Ms. Owens and her family are the worst kind of cancer. Let me know if you would like copies of the emails. Thanks and good luck with your piece. I hope that you can expose Lisa Owens and others like her who would set out to cheat honest people." --Sean Williams
This sounds like a case for governor Jimmy McMillan?
