Man Burglarizes Neighbor's Refrigerator

Maurice Green of Plain Dealing, Louisiana was arrested and charged with burglary after he emptied a his neighbor's refrigerator last weekend. According to police, the neighbor said she left her door open to air out the house after a small fire, and went to a neighbor's. When she returned home, she found that her refrigerator had been emptied, though nothing else had been taken. The victim specifically told investigators there had been a 2-liter bottle of grape soda that was half-empty inside her refrigerator. Maurice used two black garbage bags to carry the items to his girlfriend's house, which was just down the street. In those bags, cops found bacon, eggs, bread, pork chops, chicken legs, a six-pack of beer -- and the half-empty 2-liter bottle of grape soda. He remains jailed on $20,000 bond.
