The body of 36-year-old Marie Joseph, who drowned in a Fall River, Massachusetts public pool, went unnoticed two days while people were swimming in the pool before it was discovered late Tuesday night by some teenagers who jumped over the fence for a late night swim. Marie's body has been floating in the pool since Sunday. Lifeguards were on duty throughout the day on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, yet police said no one saw the body. According to police, Marie was watching a neighbor's 9-year-old boy as he went down a waterslide at the pool. Police said she somehow fell down the slide herself, went underwater, and drowned. When the boy went to the lifeguard for help, he ignored the boy. The Department of Conservation and Recreation, which operates the pool, has closed it down while they investigate and have placed the entire staff on administrative leave. Better get that settlement check ready, too.
