Cabbie Locks Woman in Trunk After Fare Dispute, Goes Home; She's Discovered Five Hours Later

A taxi driver in Hamburg, Germany has been arrested after he became so enraged during a fare dispute with a 32-year-old woman, he assaulted her then locked her in the trunk where she was discovered by passersby five hours later. According to police, the incident started when the woman became concerned that the driver was taking a detour in order to charge her more money. When she asked whether he was trying to drive the fare up, the driver became angry and hit her in the face before forcing her into the trunk of the taxi and locking it. He then parked the cab outside his apartment and left the screaming woman in the trunk and went inside. Luckily, she still had her cell phone and called police, but despite their attempt to find her location, the woman wasn't found until passersby heard cries coming from the trunk and called police.
