Congratulations are in order for Wendy. Debmar-Mercury and the Fox Television Stations announced today they are renewing The Wendy Williams Show for two more seasons -- through 2014 -- on Fox-owned stations. "Wendy is delivering a great show every day that stands out from the pack and continues to grow creatively," Frank Cicha, Fox's senior vice president of programming and Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury said. "This season's episodes are fresh, funny and star-studded, and her must-see 'Hot Topics' segments are simply compelling. With viewers, audiences and affiliate stations embracing her show more than ever, we believe that the franchise is still poised for additional growth." While the show is one of the lowest-rated talk shows in syndication (averaging about 1.0), it slays on Fox -- especially in NYC, where it's the number one rated program among women 25-54 for the entire day (except in prime time where Idol, et al. rule).
