WATCH: Cissy Houston's First Interview Since Whitney's Death

In her first interview since her only daughter's death, gospel legend Cissy Houston sat down with WWOR's Brenda Blackmon to talk about her love for her daughter Whitney Houston, her grief, and anger. Cissy says she raised Whitney the best she could and she was a "good" daughter. She says the people who you've see talking on behalf of the family in the tabloids and on TV in the wake of Whitney's death, don't know anything about the superstar's life. "These people don't know anything about her, all they know is what they hear," says. "The media is awful," she adds. Cissy says some of those talking heads haven't been around in 20 years, "but God got his way of taking care of all of it and I'm glad I know that." She says if she could bring Whitney back, she would, "but I know that's impossible." When asked about news that Bobbi Kristina is dating her "adopted" brother (and expecting his child) and Whitney's casket photo, Cissy says: "I don't look at that mess." Cissy adds Whitney didn't die broke and she's thankful for the checks that came in. Interesting.
