A four-alarm blaze has erupted at Tyler Perry Studios on Continental Colony Parkway in southwest Atlanta. Eyewitnesses report hearing explosions and seeing multiple buildings were engulfed in flames -- which shot up to six stories into the air -- before firefighters arrived shortly before 9pm Tuesday night. There are no reports of injuries to human life. Tyler was at the complex surveying the damage, but did not talk to reporters. Employees leaving the studio grounds after the fire told reporters they were instructed not to speak to the media. The blaze was contained to the exterior of one building. The fascia of the affected building collapsed and interior suffered water damage, but its structural integrity was not compromised, according to firefighters. The 200,000-square-foot studio (which sits on 30 acres) was built in 2008.
After filing his report from 'Chateau Shereé', roving reporter Funky Dineva is reporting live from the scene of the Tyler Perry Studios fire.
