Penelope Soto, 18, was arrested in Miami yesterday for possession of Xanax. While facing Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat, Penelope appeared flirtatious and giddy -- that's until he set her bond at $5000. She wasn't happy and told the judge to "eff off." Judge called her back and adjusted the bond to $10,000. Oh, that made her angrier. She walked away and gave the judge the finger. He called her back again and sentenced her to 30 days in jail for contempt of court. That'll learn her!
Update, Feb. 6: Penelope appeared in court again this morning to face the original drug charge that landed her in jail in the first place. This time she was more subdued. She didn't laugh or smile during the appearance before Judge Jeffrey Rosinek, who had to ask her several times to repeat herself because she was so quiet. The judge set her bond at $5,000, but she'll still have to serve the 30-day sentence. The judge agreed to have the her case thrown out if she completes a drug program.
