So this is why so many Florida-type stories happen in Florida. Police officers don't give a damn. According to documents and videos obtained by the NBC affiliate in Miami, six Miami-Dade officers were caught on tape blatantly ignoring emergency dispatch calls. Instead of responding to calls about an unconscious 5-month-old or a suspicious vehicle -- the cops were out at a restaurant drinking coffee or meeting their jumpoffs. Then they would doctor records to show they responded to the calls, when they didn't. Three of the cops were fired and the three others are facing disciplinary actions.
