56-year-old Man Who Walks 21 Miles To and From Work Every Day Given Dream Car

Since 2005 when his car broke down, James Robertson, 56, of Detroit has been walking a total of 21 miles to and from work each day because the city's bus system doesn't offer complete routes in his area. His commute begins at 8 a.m. each day; he arrives at his $10.55 per hour factory job at 12:30 p.m -- 90 minutes before he clocks in at 2pm. When he leaves work at 10 p.m., he doesn't arrive home until 4 a.m. the next day. He does this Monday to Friday regardless of the weather. Why doesn't he get a new car, you ask. He can't afford one. Well today, a local car dealership surprised James with his dream car -- a red fully-loaded 2015 Ford Taurus. The dealership plans to pay all the taxes to make sure James is "truly getting a free car." When asked how he feel about the surprise gift, James said: "I don't like it, I love it!" A GoFundMe page set up in his honor has received more than $300,000 in donations.
