Days Before Easter Sunday Wedding, 61-year-old Woman Shoots, Kills Fiancé
Planning a wedding is stressful. A 65-year-old woman from Horn Lake, Mississippi has been charged with shooting and killing her fiancé during an altercation. According to police, Bernice Parker Johnson called 911 about 11:40 last night to say she shot 68-year-old James Watkins Jr during a fight When officers arrived, they found James dead on the scene. The couple was to wed this Sunday (Easter Sunday). Bernice was arrested and charged with murder. She remains jailed on $250,000 bond.
