Charges Dropped Against Man Accused of Killing AJ Jewell
Frederick Richardson, the man accused of killing AJ Jewell, the ex-fiancè of Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Kandi Burruss, will not face any criminal charges and the voluntary manslaughter charge that was filed against him last October will be dropped.
Fulton District Attorney Paul Howard said “... recent interviews produced no evidence that Mr. Richardson was at fault in the death of Ashley Jewell. Accordingly, there will be no further action taken against Mr. Richardson at this time."
Last time we heard anything on this case, AJ's parents were granted permission to have his body exhumed because they were all but certain their son did not die from sickle cell disease as the initial autopsy concluded.
The body was never exhumed, because "experts ultimately concluded such an exhumation would serve no meaningful purpose,” the DA said.
His parents believed their son was beaten to death, but Frederick (pictured) maintained that he was innocent and the victim, because AJ pulled a gun on him in the parking lot of the strip club where they both worked last October. A fight ensued and AJ suffered a head wound and died at a local hospital.
