This Lady Keeps Poisoning Her Boyfriend and Her Jumpoff

Tara Jackson from Burke County, North Carolina is one crazy bitch. She was arrested Thursday afternoon after she put crushed up muscle relaxers in her boyfriend's baked potato and mixed it in a bottle of Mountain Dew and served it to her jumpoff. This was Tara's second attempt at murder. She previously tried to poison her boyfriend by putting antifreeze in his food. He was hospitalized in intensive care and was on life support until he was released about a week ago.

Chris Lighty Shoots Himself Dead During Argument With Estranged Wife

Hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty (real name: Darrell Lighty), who managed several rappers and singer including Puffy, 50 Cent and Mariah Carey was found dead in his Bronx, NY apartment Thursday in an apparent suicide. According to police, the 44-year-old was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 9 mm handgun was found near the body. Additional reports say the shooting took place during an argument with his estranged wife (whom he was in the process of divorcing) while he was moving out of the home. He was 44.

Are cops sure this is a suicide? Just sayin'.

Customers Assault Waitress For Filling Their Water Glasses Too Often

Three women are facing mob action and aggravated battery charges after they were assaulted a waitress at a Red Lobster restaurant in Fairview Heights, Illinois on August 17. According to an eyewitness, the women -- Sharrell Evans, 21, Britley Green, 22, and Geneen Green, 44 -- became upset with the waitress because the she was filling up their glasses with water too often. The witness then said as the server walked away one of the customers picked up a water glass and threw it, hitting the victim in the back of the head. The witness said as the server turned around, the customer hit her in the face with one of the dessert books.

Attendee at the Republican National Convention Threw Peanuts at a Black CNN Camerawoman and Yelled 'This is How We Feed Animals'

Sometime during Tuesday night's festivities at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, an attendee allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention, reports Talking Points Memo. Is anyone really shocked by this? We haven't seen so many white people in one place in a very long time.

Update, Aug. 30: The camerawoman isn't shocked, either. In an interview today, Patricia Carroll says: “This is Florida, and I'm from the deep South. You come to places like this, you can count the black people on your hand. They see us doing things they don't think I should do.” She adds: “I can't change these people's hearts and minds. No, it doesn't feel good. But I know who I am. I'm a proud black woman. A lot of black people are upset. This should be a wake-up call to black people. … People were living in euphoria for a while. People think we've gone further than we have.”

Cabbie Nicolae Stan, 34, says that stunning Luminita Perijoc, 30, threatened to kill him unless he agreed to perform oral sex on her after he'd dropped her off at her apartment. "She asked me to help with her bag but when we were upstairs she got me in to her kitchen and told me she had to have sex with me," claimed the married dad-of-three. "I think she wasn't used to anyone saying no because she flew into a rage when I declined. She took out a knife and forced me to undress and have sex with her. But she wasn't satisfied and wanted sex again. When I refused she attacked me with a knife, and forced me to have oral sex with her, but then she still stabbed me," he added. Friends told local media that Perijoc is a huge fan of actress Jolie and models herself on the Tomb Raider star. Stan says he only escaped when he managed to barricade himself into a bedroom and dial 999 on his mobile phone. Police say he was taken to hospital with more than half a dozen stab wounds. "We are interviewing both parties to discover what could have happened," said a police spokesman.

Tree Hugger Gets Arrested

When a Scottsdale, Arizona homeowner decided to cut down a tree on her property that's dying and is thisclose to falling down and killing someone, her neighbor, Tannis Revell -- who may not have taken her meds today -- lost her damn mind. She decided to latch onto the tree and refused to let go. Cops were called and she was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. While on her way to jail -- or the nearest psych ward -- Tannis told reporters she doesn't want the tree to come down because "animals" live in the tree. Poor thing.

Samsung Violated Apple Patents, Jury Awards Apple More Than $1 Billion in Damages

The epic smartphone patent infringement case involving Apple and Samsung has an outcome after a trial in California. Apple sued Samsung for $2.5 billion for copying the design of the iPhone and iPad and Samsung countersued Apple for $519 million, also for patent infringement. This afternoon the jury found Samsung infringed on some of Apple's patents and awarded the iPhone and iPad maker $1,051,855,000 $1,049,343,540 in damages. The judge could triple this amount if she agrees that Samsung blatantly and "willfully" copied Apple. On its counterclaim, the jury found that Apple did not infringe on any of Samsung's patents and therefore owes the company $0.

A federal jury has sided with Apple over rival Samsung in a massive patent infringement trial between the two tech heavyweights and has awarded Apple more than $1 billion in damages. The nine-member jury accepted most of Apple's claims that Samsung copied the look and feel of its iPhone to roll out its own line of smartphones. The decision is in the process of being read by U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in a packed federal courtroom in San Jose. The jury found all of Apple's patents to be valid and said Samsung "willfully" infringed on many of them. As of 4 p.m. Pacific, the jury found that Samsung infringed on Apple's so-called "pinch and zoom" patent, or the ability to make text on a touchscreen bigger by moving one's fingers outward; as well as its bounce-back patent, or the way the image onscreen bounces back when it is dragged with a finger to the edge of the device. The speed of the decision, reached after a four-week trial and less than three days of deliberations, came as a surprise to media and technology experts, who had predicted that a verdict wouldn't be reached before next week at earliest. During the deliberations, the jury never sent out a question or note through the bailiff. Samsung was awarded $0 in damages and is expected to file an appeal. There is no word yet on possible product bans....In the U.S. trial, Apple has accused its rival of "slavishly" copying many aspects of its mobile devices, including the iPhone and iPad, and was seeking $2.5 billion in damages for what it called "irreparable harm" to its business. In its testimony, Apple lawyers showed the jury images of thick, boxy smartphones that Samsung made before Apple's iPhone came out, as well as images of its more recent smartphones featuring touchscreens and rounded corners. They argued it was no coincidence that Samsung's smartphones began to resemble the iPhone. Samsung argued that it did not steal ideas from Apple, saying it already had touchscreen devices with rounded corners in development before the 2007 introduction of the iPhone. It also accused Apple of infringing on its technology patents. The trial saw both sides calling up a parade of gadget designers and patent experts as witnesses. Since the case was filed in April 2011, both sides have been ordered to try to reach a settlement; the chief executives were talking as recently as Monday, but no agreement was reached. All told, Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple and South Korea-based Samsung have brought more than 50 lawsuits against each other in 10 countries on four continents. Technology experts expect a drawn-out legal fight and say the overall resolution could reshape how tech gadgets are made.

Idiot Calls 911 Asking For Female Officers to Come to His Home For Sex

The Donkey of the Week is Joshua Basso. The 32-year-old from Dover, Florida was arrested today after he called 911 seven times over two days asking to have female deputies come over for sex. The female officers did show up at his home at 11:20am today, but they weren't there for any sort of fun -- they were there to arrest him. If his name and face look familiar, it's because the idiot was arrested in 2009 for calling 911 to have phone sex with dispatchers. We even published the 911 calls of him on the phone with the operator while pleasuring himself. He now faces seven counts of misuse of 911 calls. If the cops release these 911 calls, we'll update this post.

Judge Grants Usher Primary Custody of Two Sons With Whats-Her-Face

It's rare that a court takes a child away from his mother and grants custody to the father (much less a male pop star!), but that's exactly what happened in an Atlanta courtroom today. A judge granted singer Usher primary physical custody of his two boys (4-year-old Usher Raymond V and 3-year-old Naviyd) with Whats-Her-Face.

A Fulton County judge on Friday granted Usher Raymond primary custody of his two sons, ending what had been a bitter court fight between the R&B superstar and his ex-wife Tameka Foster. "Both parties will have joint legal custody. Usher will have primary physical custody," said Cherrise Boone, spokeswoman for the Fulton Superior Court Clerk's office. The ruling by Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane came a little more than a month after the death of Foster's 11-year-old son Kile Glover. The boy, whose father is Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover, was hurt July 6 when a man on a personal watercraft ran over him and a 15-year-old girl while they were on an inner tube on Lake Lanier. Kile died July 21. Raymond and Foster had a co-parenting agreement for 4-year-old Usher Raymond V and 3-year-old Naviyd before the Grammy Award-winning singer filed for sole custody, claiming his ex-wife was an unfit mother. "The father shall have final decision-making authority with respect to all matters concerning the children, including but not limited to education, religion, extracurricular activities, health and mental well-being, but he shall first discuss any major decisions relating to such matters with the mother," Lane wrote in her ruling. Last week in court, Foster said she "begged" Raymond to withdraw his petition numerous times. "I was like, 'It's ridiculous, are you mad at me? I don't know why. You know your kids are fine. They're happy. They're productive.' ... Maybe I don't do everything perfectly, but I do the best I can," Foster said. Lane also ordered Raymond and Foster meet monthly with a "co-parenting coordinator" to help iron out any differences the parents have over the future of their sons.

During the trial however, Usher's attorney told the court Whats-Her-Face is neglectful and incapable of being a proper parent. And, oh, that she's batshit crazy! In his closing argument Usher's attorney said Whats-her-Face is "does not have the emotional stability or capacity to bond with [the boys], and therefore she is handicapped." Ouch.

Flight Attendant Plays Dead to Avoid Speaking With Delayed Passengers

A China Eastern Airline flight attendant/gate agent played dead after he's confronted by angry passengers about a delayed flight on Monday. According to reports, passengers became irate when the flight from Beijing to Xi'an was delayed for 4 hours and airline representatives provided no explanation why. During the argument, a passenger pushed the employee and he fell to the floor. He continued to play possum to avoid communicating with the angry crowds. Very professional.

He claims Ryan "beat on" his teenage daughter, but the distraught daughter (who has a child with Ryan) can he heard in the background of the chilling 911 tape denying she was a victim of abuse. Bill told her: "I'm gonna to go to prison over this, but it's worth it."

Burger King Fires Woman For Wearing Skirt to Work

Ashanti McShan, who's a "Pentecostal of Christian faith and adheres to an interpretation of the scripture that requires women to wear only skirts or dresses," has slapped Burger King with a federal lawsuit after a manager fired her for wearing a skirt to work. According to the complaint (which you can read, below), during her interview for a cashiering job, she was told she could wear skirts to work instead of uniform pants, but when she showed up for orientation at restaurant in Grand Prairie, Texas, the store manager told her she couldn't wear skirts and told her to leave. She's seeking unspecified damages for pain and suffering, humiliation, embarrassment, and emotional distress, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life.

Black Man Jailed For Faking Hate Crimes

A man from Otsego, Minnesota who claimed he and his girlfriend were being harassed because they are an interracial couple is now accused of making it all up. Last June, Demetrius Baker Jr. called up a local news station and to tell them he and his fiancée, Michelle Cardinal, were being harassed and racially intimidated by a white neighbor who disapproved of their relationship. Demetrius claimed the neighbor called him the n-word, tried to fight him and broke into his garage and cut all of the wires (including the brake line) under the hood of his car. He also claimed the neighbor stabbed their dogs. They even went so far as to file several police reports and get a restraining order against the neighbor. Since police didn't have much proof to arrest the suspect, they installed surveillance cameras outside the interracial couple's home and guess what they found? Well you already know. Demetrius committed all the crimes. Police say he did so in an effort to control his girlfriend. He was arrested and charged with stalking and mistreatment of animals. Hee-haw!

Mom Jailed After Cops Smell Beer on Toddler's Breath

We don't know much about Brandi Jackson, but we do know the Mother of the Year loves to drink beer and has a lengthy criminal record. So, when cops showed up at her home in Millington, Tennessee last Saturday after receiving a call she was fighting with her 11-year-old son, an officer picked up a 2-year-old girl and smelled beer on her breath. Brandi was arrested and charged with child abuse and neglect. The toddler was taken to a hospital and is OK. Brandi's three children have been placed with a family member while the DCS investigates over the next 60 days.

Gang of 20 Attacks Woman and Her Kids, Police Officer Does Nothing

An Atlanta woman says a gang of about 20 kids threatened to attack up her and her children. Like a responsible parent, Somemet Beavers told a police officer about the threats, but the officer told her it's not his problem because"'we're in Zone 6, they're in Zone 3 so when you and your family crossed over, it wasn't in his hands no more." Long story short: The gang of hooligans beat Somemet and her kids' asses. Cops say they've "identified 10 of the boys who attacked Beavers and her children" and are "looking into the allegations against the officer." Yeah, OK.

Couple Jailed After Swingers' Party Goes Horribly Wrong

A couple from Spring Hill, Florida was jailed last weekend after their respective orgies went wrong. According to reports, Tina Michelle Norris, 39, and her live-in boyfriend of five years James Albert Barfield, 56, got into a fight early Sunday morning after Michelle became upset James was having sex with another woman; James lost his temper because Michelle was in bed with two men. A mess!

Deputy Cari Smith, who interviewed both, said Norris was "very intoxicated and uncooperative." Smith stated in her arrest affidavit Norris refused to put on her clothes after being told to do so. Barfield also was naked when she got to the house, Smith wrote. Smith was joined at the house by Deputy James Devorak. Smith arrested Norris and Devorak arrested Barfield, according to reports. A witness who lives at the house was interviewed by Smith. The roommate told the deputy she was sleeping alone in a spare room when she heard yelling and screaming in the hallway, according to reports. She got out of bed and saw Norris and Barfield "pushing and shoving each other from one end of the house to the other (while) breaking things in the process," Smith wrote in her affidavit. The witness said she pulled Barfield off Norris, at which time Norris went after her boyfriend. This continued several more times before the couple separated and went into separate bedrooms, deputies said. "(The witness) stated that she did not see how or what started the argument, but (said) both (Norris and Barfield) were equally aggressive to each other," Smith wrote. The same witness also told deputies the couple had a "weird relationship," according to the sheriff's office.

Both Michelle and James were charged with domestic battery. Michelle, who suffered a busted lip, was also charged with resisting arrest. The three other people participating in the swinger's party left the house before cops arrived.

Woman Barred From Handing Out Free Bottled Water on Hot Summer Day

Dana Crow-Smith said a City of Phoenix worker came up to her during festival in downtown Phoenix on a 112-degree day last July and told her she was violating city code by handing out free water because she did not have a permit. There's more to the story: While handing out this "free" bottle of water, Dana and her church group wanted to minister to people about Jesus and God. She believes her rights were violated and is threatening to sue the City if she doesn't receive a formal letter of apology.

A woman pleaded not guilty Monday to a hate crime charge for allegedly pouring hot coffee on a black nursing assistant at UC Irvine Medical Center. Rose Mary Ayala, 38, was charged Friday with a felony count of hate crime battery and faces up to three years in prison if convicted, Deputy District Attorney Andrew Katz said. On July 18, the alleged victim was serving coffee to Ayala and other patients in the lounge of the medical center when she allegedly began taunting him with racial slurs, Katz said. The certified nursing assistant ignored the woman’s insults, but while he was getting sugar for another patient, Ayala allegedly walked up behind him and dumped hot coffee on his right leg, Katz alleged. Ayala was being held on $50,000 bail. She was due in court Aug. 28 for a pretrial hearing.

Inmate Forced to Work For 25 Cents Per Hour Sues Jail For $11 Million

Oh, he thinks working for 25 cents an hour is akin to slavery. True story.

Finbar McGarry was a graduate student at the University of Vermont in December 2008 when he was arrested for allegedly firing a gun in his home and threatening to kill his family and an official at the university, where he had recently lost his job. His lawsuit alleges that the state violated his rights under the 13th Amendment -- which abolished slavery and involuntary servitude after the Civil War -- when he was forced to work in the laundry for minimal pay as an inmate in the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington, Vt. McGarry, who filed the $11-million lawsuit pro se, said he was forced to work three days a week for six weeks washing other inmates' laundry. He was paid a wage of 25 cents per hour and developed a bacterial infection on his neck because he was not provided sanitation in the laundry room, he told ABC News in an interview Thursday. Prison officials threatened to put McGarry "in the hole," where inmates are shackled and locked up for 23 hours per day in solitary confinement, if he refused to work, he said. McGarry was released in June 2009, and all charges against him were dropped. McGarry's anti-slavery case was thrown out in November 2009 by a federal court in Brattleboro, Vt. In his opinion, U.S. Magistrate Judge John Conroy wrote that McGarry's 13th Amendment claim was without merit because his laundry work "was nothing like the slavery that gave rise to the enactment of that amendment." But on Friday, a panel of judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit overruled the lower court's dismissal of the case, arguing that McGarry did not have to prove that his experience was akin those of African slaves before abolition.

Death of Man Shot in Head While Handcuffed in Police Car Ruled a Suicide

We have a little experiment for you: Pretend you're handcuffed behind your back. Now pretend you have a gun and try to shoot yourself in the right temple. According to police in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Chavis Carter, a 21-year-old who was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head while his hands were handcuffed behind him in a patrol car, committed suicide. Remarkably, the medical examiner agreed. Chavis was detained during a traffic stop after cops found he had an outstanding warrant and was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was frisked -- twice! -- handcuffed them placed in the police cruiser. A short time later, he was dead. The Jonesboro police department insisted they didn't shoot Chavis and even released video of an officer demonstrating how it's possible to commit suicide while handcuffed. Their video assumed Chavis had a gun in his waistband, but wouldn't cops have found that during the searches? Anyway, the medical examiner released the autopsy report (below) afternoon which ruled Chavis' death a "suicide." That can't be right, right?

Obviously, his parents didn't like him much or were smoking on that crack pipe when they named him. Anywho, he remains behind bars and faces several charges including assault, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, possession of alcohol on the beach, violation of probation and carrying an open beverage in public. Poor fella.

Teens Attacked Man Because They Were 'Bored'

No, seriously. Last Saturday, 45-year-old Pat Mahaney was walking home from a convenience store in Cincinnati when he was attacked by six teenagers. Pat, who suffered severe injuries and was hospitalized for several days, said he offered the attackers his wallet and money, but the boys "king of chuckled and didn't take anything." Police arrested twin brothers Tyree and Terrell Mizzell, Lamont Champion and Daquan Cain, all 13-year-olds; and Michael E. James, 14. The sixth boy was arrested Tuesday. All are facing felony charges of aggravated riot and felonious assault. Oh, upon questioning the boys told police they attacked Pat "because they were bored." We've gotta do better.

Lady Whose Boyfriend Padlocked Her In Room For Years: 'It Was With My Consent'

There's a really bizarre story coming out of Paterson, NJ. While cops were searching Michael Mendez's apartment for drugs, they came upon a padlocked bedroom. Inside they found Michael's girlfriend with a bucket used as a toilet. Police believe she was locked inside the room for between two to 10 years. Lady Stabs Fiancé to Death on Wedding Day

Just hours before their wedding last Saturday, 31-year-old Nacola Franklin stabbed her fiancé, Billy Brewster, twice in the heart and killed him. According to police, Nacola and Billy were about to head out to get some food around 2am, when they began arguing. She began swinging a knife and stabbed Billy twice in the left side of his chest, puncturing his heart. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Nacola is charged with criminal homicide.

While babysitting Ashley's four kids (ages 8 months to 5 years) last month, Kemra Nesta Matthew punched his girlfriend's 4-year-old and 2-year-old sons in the stomach. The younger boy died. The cause of death has yet to be released, but Kemra remains jailed on child cruelty and aggravated assault charges. Ashley says she doesn't know who's responsible for injuring her son and killing another, but she's positive it wasn't her boyfriend. "I don't care what the police charge him with, because he did not do nothing," she says. He-haw!

Lady Sues After Cops 'Forcibly Removed' Her Tampon During Traffic Stop

Around 4pm on July 17, 2011, Leila Tarantino was traveling in her car with her 1- and 4-year-old kids. As she was stopped at an intersection in Citrus County, Florida, a police cruiser pulled up behind her and the officer forced her out of her car at gunpoint. She was handcuffed and placed her in back seat of the police cruiser for two hours. When a female officer arrived, that's when things got a bit messy. Leila was strip searched twice on the side of the road in full view of passersby (and her children) and during one of the strip searches, a female officer "forcibly removed" a her tampon. (Apparently, the officers suspected she was in possession of illegal drugs, but no drug-sniffing dog was called to the scene and the officers never found anything suspicious.) Leila has slapped the city with a civil suit seeking an unspecified amount for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Man Whose Face Was Chewed Off By Miami Cannibal Speaks Out

For the first time since he got his face chewed off, 65-year-old Ronald Poppo is shedding light as to what happened last May when Rudy Eugene attacked him on a Miami causeway. In the interview with police, Ronald said he never met Rudy before and didn't do or say anything to provoke the attack. He said Rudy was nice but got irritated and "he mashed my face into the sidewalk,” he said. “My face is all bent and mashed up. My eyes, my eyes got plucked out. He was strangling me in wrestling holds at the same time he was plucking my eyes out.” He adds, Rudy "just ripped me to ribbons." Ronald remains in a long-term care facility after losing an eye, his eyebrows, his nose and parts of his forehead and right cheek in the May 26 attack. His other eye was severely damaged.

Rapper on Welfare Busted For Filing 24 False Tax Returns + Pastor, Wife Convicted of Tax Fraud

While several popular rappers are on their way to prison for not filing federal income taxes, others -- like this rapper you've probably never heard of -- are fleecing the government.

Sylver Gunn, a local rapper also known as "Sylver Karatz", was busted for filing 24 false claims for tax returns and for theft of government funds. Judge Herman Weber ordered Gunn to pay $100, 287 in restitution to the IRS and $18, 299 to the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority. The judge also sentenced Gunn to five years probation, 21 months of which will be served in home confinement. Gunn pleaded guilty to the charges on April 4. Records show Gunn filed 24 false claims based on fraudulent federal income tax returns filed with the IRS between January of 2009 and February 2010. Police say she recruited people she knew to file fraudulent returns for them. She used W-2 forms and Schedule C business information with false income amounts so her clients would quality for an Earned Income Tax Credit. Gunn would spilt the amount from the claims with her clients, according to court documents. Gunn also received public assistance beginning in 2005. However, she failed to fully disclose her income to the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority between April 2008 and December 2010. Documents show Gunn embezzled $18,299 in government funds.

They were charged with conspiring to impair and impede the IRS in its computation and collection of income taxes between January 2003 and April 2006, as well as under-reporting the gross income from their construction business, Montgomery’s Contracting. They will be sentenced later this year and each face up to 8 years in prison. Pastors have been out of control lately. From raping parishioners, to breaking to parishioners' homes, to suing a phone company for confirming to his wife that he has been cheating on her with a member of the church. Yeah, halleloo!

Lady Goes Berserk, Throws Jars of Pickled Pigs Feet Inside Store

Diane Lewis, of Loyall, Kentucky might just be a redneck. After her son was arrested for stealing copper wiring from a apartment where he was previously evicted from, Diane showed up at the landlord's (James) Howard) convenience store to rake havoc. According to police, Diane pulled jars of pickles from the shelves and threw them around the store and through a plate glass window. She told a local TV station, "I don't know, you know. I got to my breaking point, I guess. I was pushed to my breaking point is the only thing I can say...You take momma bear and mess with a cub, she is going to bite your head off." She was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, terroristic threatening, menacing and disorderly conduct. Her 32-year-old son, James Lewis, was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.

Sidebar: The local paper was able to speak with the store manager, and here's her side: "“She came into the store and starting cussing James saying her grandchildren were crying over their daddy being in jail. She picked up jars of pickles and began throwing them at the windows and all over the walls, busting the glass and pickles spewed all over the place. She tried to break all the windows, but only succeeded in breaking one. She then went up and down the isles pulling merchandise to the floor and breaking glass products. She was in a rage knocking everything she could to the floor. She was just out of control — wild. We were very scared during all this. We stayed behind the counter and called the proper authorities. She didn’t stop until the police arrived. We’re just glad no customers were injured during this incident.”

Mom Leaves Three Kids Home Alone For Four Hours to Go Have Sex with Neighbor

Mother of the Year Crystal Rusaw, 24, is also a slut!

A New Port Richey mother admitted to police she left three kids home alone -- one as young as ten months old -- while she went to a neighbor's house for sex. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says while Crystal Rusaw was out, the kids wandered from the house, up the street, and crossed a busy highway. Investigators say a witness may have saved their lives by stopping them and getting help. The kids range in age from four years to ten months. Investigators say the youngest was only wearing a urine-filled diaper. Rusaw later admitted to leaving the kids to go to a neighbor's house for sex, where she also fell asleep. "It could have been tragic," said Joan Miller, who was almost brought to tears when she learned what happened. "It's just unbelievable." Other neighbors weren't surprised by the arrest, saying they have seen the children playing in the street by themselves 'all the time.' "I just see toys, and little kids always running and walking, and riding bicycles unsupervised down the street," says William Gray who lives down the street. Deputies arrested Rusaw on Saturday. She has since bonded out of jail. Nobody appeared to be at her home Monday evening. ABC Action News spoke briefly to Rusaw's boyfriend off-camera. He said he was out of town all last week and found out what happened when he returned. He tells us the children are staying with a relative.

Man Held Ex-Girlfriend Hostage for a Month, Tortured Her

Anthony Matthews is a monster. The 31-year-old is facing a slew of charges, including attempted murder, after he was arrested Wednesday for holding his ex-girlfriend hostage in his Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn apartment and assaulting her. According to police, Anthony burned the 26-year-old woman with a hot iron, sexually assaulted her with burning hot screwdriver, beat her with a 2x4… and knocked out at least two of her teeth while shoving a pistol in her mouth. The woman (who dated Anthony for two years until they broke up) was able to escape on Tuesday and remains hospitalized in intensive care. Neighbors didn't see of hear anything.


Meanwhile, in NYC's Chinatown...A man was forced to jump from a tenant's apartment after the mentally unstable roommate, whom he was trying to evict, held him hostage at knifepoint assaulted him. The roommate barricaded himself in the apartment for a few hours before surrendering to police. He was taken to a mental hospital.

Crazy Lady Terrorized Passengers On Board Flight to Jamaica

Passengers on board Caribbean Airlines flight BW078 from Toronto to Jamaica on Monday, claim they were terrorized by a batshit crazy lady, but from the looks of it, they -- nor the flight crew, for that matter -- did nothing to subdue her. The crazy lady even brandished a 6-inch metal nail file and attempted to stab bethces. Even then, passengers or the flight crew did nothing. Oh, this happened while the plane was still on the tarmac and continued throughout the 6-hour flight to Jamaica! (We know you're asking how she was able to get a 6-inch metal nail file on board. According to Canada's transportation department, it's no longer on the banned list.) Had this been any other airline, this bitch would've been Tasered and taken to away on a gurney to a psychiatric hospital. But Caribbean Airlines don't care. Caribbean Airlines don't give a f**k. In fact, the airline has yet to issue a statement on the incident.

This Fella Peed on a Woman at a Bar After She Rejected His Advances

Man comes on to woman at bar. Woman doesn't give man the time of day. Man pees on woman, so the story goes.

The woman told police she was standing next to the bar at Shooters Grill and Bar, 1801 13th St., about 11:45 p.m. Saturday when a man -- later identified as Timothy Paez, 22 -- came up behind her and put his arm around her. The woman turned around and said, "Um, really?," and Paez took his arm off her, according to the report.. According to police, a few seconds later, the woman said she felt some sort of liquid hitting her leg. She initially thought Paez was spilling his beer on her, but when she turned around she told police she saw Paez with his penis exposed urinating on her leg and the front of the bar. The bar's staff escorted Paez outside and contacted a nearby police officer. The officer said Paez was visibly intoxicated and most of his answers were "unintelligible." The officer said Paez admitted to urinating on someone, but could not clearly say who, according to the report. At one point he thought he had urinated on another male, but then retracted that statement, according to the report. Paez was arrested on suspicion of public indecency and harassment and taken into custody. He remains at the Boulder County Jail. His bond has not been set, and a court hearing has not yet been scheduled.

Teacher Slaps Student Who Wouldn't Pull Up Sagging Pants; He Slaps Her Back

Patricia Frost, a teacher at Anson County High School in Charlotte, NC, saw a student (18-year-old Johnathan Smith) in the school's parking lot on June 5 and told him to pull up his sagging pants. Johnathan told her to mind her effin' business and get the eff out of his face and kept on moving. Instead of minding her businesses or getting in her car, Patricia decided to follow him around the parking lot until he stopped. A confrontation ensued and she slapped him! He slapped her back. Johnathan immediately filed assault charges against the teacher. She filed her own charges against Johnathan, accusing him of assault on a female and communicating threats. She was ultimately suspended. In an attempt to ensure she has a job come September, Patricia held a press conference at her lawyer's office yesterday where she said she slapped the student because she felt threatened. "He came towards me and my goal was to get him away from me and I did hit him on the side of his head and he turned around and smacked me on the side of my head," she said. That'll learn her!

Racist Shoots Black Man in the Face Who Interrupted His Dinner

A donkey with a gun in Port St Joe, Florida is charged with attempted murder, with a hate crime enhancement, for shooting a black man in the face Monday night. According to police, 59-year-old racist Walton Henry Butler has been calling black children in the apartment complex where he lives the N-word. 32-year-old Everett Gant knocked on Walton's door to ask what his problem was. Walton opened the door and shot Everett in the face. With Everett's body lying on the ground, the racist casually shut the door, called 911 and told dispatchers he shot an N-word and finished cooking dinner. Then he sat at his kitchen table and ate dinner until cops arrived. According to police, Walton told them he didn't understand why he was being arrested because all he did was shoot an N-word. I can't.

Mother of a Convicted Felon Who Killed Himself While Shooting at Police is Suing Cops, City For Not Doing Enough to Save Her Son's Life

The mother of a Washington state parolee who accidentally shot himself to death during a gunfight with San Francisco police last year has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city. Kenneth Wade Harding, 19, fatally wounded himself while running away from officers who stopped him on Third Street in the Bayview neighborhood for failing to pay a Muni fare, police said. But in a lawsuit filed Friday in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, Harding's mother Denika Chatman said police have some responsibility for her son's death and that officers failed to give him immediate medical care. Instead, they "left him writhing in pain with blood gushing out of his neck," the suit said. "He was literally allowed to drown in his own blood," said Chatman's attorney John Burris. "He was killed needlessly." Harding was trying to fire at the officers with a pistol and apparently shot himself in the neck on July 16, 2011, police investigators said. Officers Matthew Lopez and Richard Hastings also fired on Harding, striking him in the leg, authorities said. Police said Harding's pistol was stolen from the scene - a theft that was captured on amateur cell phone video - and later recovered. The suit, which seeks unspecified damages, names the City of San Francisco, Police Chief Greg Suhr, Lopez and Hastings as defendants. The city has not responded to the suit in court. Harding was a suspect in Seattle in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old woman three days earlier. He was on parole for trying to pimp a 14-year-old girl in that city. The bullet that entered Harding's neck and lodged in his head was from a .380-caliber handgun, a weapon that San Francisco officers do not carry, police said. A .380-caliber bullet was found in Harding's pocket, and he had gunshot residue on his hand, police said. Some Bayview residents reacted angrily to Harding's shooting, calling it an example of police brutality. Earlier this month, protesters marking the first anniversary of his slaying blocked two Muni lines for less than an hour.
