Jamie Foxx Sued

Bartender William Pressler filed papers in Los Angeles court today suing Jamie Foxx, his production company Foxxhole, spirit line Belvedere Vodka and event space Social Hollywood for injuries sustained while working a party.

Two years ago today, Pressler was hired to serve at an after-party for the LA stop of Jamie's "Unpredictable Tour." Liquor sponsor Belvedere provided a fully-sculptured ice bar from which to serve libations, one that Pressler claims was unsecured and unsafe.

After several hours of drink-pouring, Pressler claims broken glass (left by intoxicated patrons) was kicked near the ice bar by Social Hollywood management and never cleaned up.

Later, Pressler allegedly slipped and fell due to the unsecure bar and severely cut his hand. In the documents, Pressler states he has an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience, with the intention to become a brain surgeon--yet after this injury, he has had to "abandon this career."

Pressler is suing for gross negligence, false promise, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

He is seeking unspecified damages as well as attorneys fees.

I'm sure William initially stated he was going to be a professional concert pianist, but kept giggling at the word "pianist."
