Actor Alan Cumming went to meet friends at Momofuku Ssam bar last Wednesday night, but the group was thrown out of the restaurant; the waiter ordered them to leave because the group had been there for a long period of time.
The waiter refused to serve them, prompting Alam to protest - and the server then insisted the whole group leave immediately.
"I arrive with my man to meet three friends - they have already been eating and recommend the squid salad, which I order along with some saki. I eat the salad and drink the saki. Then two of the friends leave, and my manager arrives," he told the UK press. "This tall, agitated man - who had not introduced himself as an employee of the restaurant - appears. He told us that because some of us had joined an existing booking we couldn't have the table anymore and we had to leave.
"I asked, 'So we're in your restaurant and we've ordered food and wine, the wine has already arrived and you're now telling us to leave?' The only good thing to come out of it is in their rush to turf us out they hadn't given me the bill."
We still can't get over Alan wanting a piece of President Obama, though.
