Alfamega Arrested for Possession of Stolen Gun and Trying to Flee Cops
Last week we reported that Alfamega, T.I.'s protegè, was a government informant. Well, T.I. has since disassociated himself from Alfamega and dropped him from the label.
Now, we learn that Alfamega was in a Georgia jail when news that he was an informant became public.
According to the Smoking Gun, Alfamega was arrested on April 29 on felony gun and obstruction charges following a wild confrontation with cops.
The Atlanta police found a stolen and loaded .40 caliber pistol in Alfamega's SUV during a search of the vehicle following a traffic stop. After cops discovered the gun, Alfamega became "combative and non-compliant" and tried to flee.
Officer Antonio Blasini pepper sprayed Alfamega in the face, but the substance "had no immediate effect." Cops chased him to a nearby parking garage, where he was struck with a police baton, again to no effect.
In a bid to shake his pursuers, Alfamega weaved through parked cars and climbed over the garage wall, jumping "25-30 feet to the ground." The landing was not a smooth one. The fall "resulted in an injury that appeared to be pieces of bone protruding from his ankle," cops noted.
Alfamega was booked into a Fulton County jail, where he remained until Saturday when he made bail. Alfamega, a predicate felon, has yet to be indicted on the gun and obstruction charges.
However, if the gun case were to be handled by federal prosecutors, he could easily be facing more than a decade in prison.
