Lady Bites Off Husband's Tongue

Karen Lueders, 57, of Sheboygan, Wisc. is a man eater and she may be a lot crazy. As her husband was giving her a good night kiss, Karen bit off his tongue!

Sheboygan police say her husband, a man in his late 70s, called authorities about 11 p.m. Monday, but was having trouble speaking. An ambulance was dispatched to the house. According to the criminal complaint, Willard Lueders had a difficult time communicating with emergency responders. At the hospital, Willard Lueders wrote on pieces of paper, indicating his wife had gone into a manic state during the past few days. He also acknowledged he didn't believe his wife was responsible for biting his tongue. He indicated her mental state caused her to do it. Neighbors were surprised to find out what happened with the couple. One neighbor said he heard the Lueders singing Christmas carols, which wasn't unusual. Another neighbor said the couple sang at a local church and this incident was not like them. Sgt. Terry Meyer says the husband and wife were singing Christmas carols when paramedics arrived. Meyer says Karen Lueders threw a coffee cup at them.

Doctors were able to reattach Willard's tongue and Karen was arrested (despite her husband's protest) and charged with domestic assault and is undergoing a psychological evaluation.
