After evading police since May, James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond was arrested this afternoon in NYC -- but he didn't go down easy. According to police, Jimmy -- who's charged with running a cocaine trafficking ring that shipped kilos of cocaine between New York and Los Angeles -- was spotted exiting the W Hotel in Union Square -- where he has been staying under a false name. After spotting officers, the 46-year-old owner of Czar Entertainment made a run for it but was later captured a few blocks away. While on the run, Jimmy stopped using his cell phone and began using pay phones for communication. He also had encrypted e-mail systems to send messages on a BlackBerry. Cops got him just in time as he was planning to flee to The Bahamas on Friday. A search of his hotel room found two doctored driver's licenses, five Blackberry phones and evidence that he had applied for a new US passport under a fake name. The arrest comes a week after Dexter Issac, who is serving life in prison for a different crime, claimed Jimmy paid him $2500 to shoot Tupac Shakur in 1994. Say goodbye to Jimmy, he's going to jail for a very, very long time.
