About 10am this morning, traffic in Times Square came to a standstill and streets blocked after 34-year-old Raymond Velasquez climbed a 20-foot tall light pole and started rapping as he pointed to the MTV studios across the street. Police placed an inflatable cushion underneath the pole for fear he would jump, but almost 90 minutes later, he climbed down and was arrested. He told police he's a rapper and wanted to get a record deal or promote his CD -- or something. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is undergoing an evaluation.
Meanwhile, Cirque du Soliel performers sure know how to throw the opening pitch at a baseball game.
