Bwahahahaha! In a courtroom in Summerville, SC this afternoon, Erica Mae Butts and Shanita Latrice Cunningham were sentenced to life in prison for the 2009 death of Serenity Richardson, a 3-year-old girl in their care. Prosecutors say Serenity had bruises all over her body, a large burn on her leg and was beaten with a belt after wetting her pants. They were both found guilty of homicide by child abuse -- which is no surprise since they plead guilty. After the judge read the sentence today, though, there was all sort of histrionics. Both Erica and Shanita fell on the ground following the judge's decision, and ultimately had to be wheeled out of court in chairs. Their family members also started acting a fool.
