Four men found living in "deplorable conditions" in a Houston garage told police they were being held captive after being lured by promises of beer and cigarettes so that their captor could cash their Social Security checks. This is something that happens more often than you think. According to police, the four men -- ages 79, 74, 65, and 54 -- were held captive for up to a decade. The men were malnourished and not in great health. Three of them were taken to the hospital on stretchers. The fourth, Vietnam War veteran Steven Davis (pictured, above), refused medical treatment. Their captor was arrested; Four mentally ill women were also living in the home.
