Tim Gunn: Transgender Women Can't Be Fashion Models Because 'Men Don't Have Hips'

While giving a speech at Miami University today, “Project Runway" mentor Tim Gunn said male-to-female transgender runway models shouldn't walk in fashion shows because they're still men. “I said matter-of-factly ‘I’m not in favor of it,'" he said. “I have respect and admiration and a great love for transgendered people, period. But here’s the issue: You can have all the surgeries and all the hormones in the world … but the male skeleton is different than the female skeleton. Men don’t have hips." You in danger, gurl. His opinion is his opinion, but it barely holds water, however, because most genetically female high fashion models don't have womanly hips. They all look like prepubescent boys. Carry on.
