Michelle Obama Fires Chief of Staff

The first lady, Michelle Obama, shook up operations in the East Wing of the White House, replacing her chief of staff with a longtime friend and colleague.

That friend, Susan Sher, currently an associate counsel to the president, will replace Jackie Norris as Michelle's chief of staff.

Susan was Michelle's boss at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Michelle was vice president for community affairs.

Susan who served as a senior adviser to the Obama campaign in Iowa, will become senior adviser for the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps, the national service agency, administration officials say.

Said Susan: "I am grateful to President and Mrs. Obama for the opportunities and friendship they have given me over the last few years and I am looking forward to becoming an integral part of this Administration's efforts to advance the cause of national and community service."

Do you think these two had any dealings in Susan's removal?
