Men Attack, Rob Wheelchair-Bound Man

Drugs are the devil! Two lowlives who were looking for oxycodone pills, beat and robbed a 37-year-old man suffering from muscular dystrophy. According to police in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the victim -- who's confined to a wheelchair -- received a call from his cousin asking to borrow oxycodone pills. The victim agreed and was expecting his cousin (or another family member) to collect the pills, but instead, two strangers showed up at his door. The men attacked the victim then stole his 50-inch TV, an Xbox and 35 oxycodone pills. Police arrested one of the lowlives and are looking for the other: 21-year-old Keenan Smith. If you see him, alert the police.

What's That Smell?! 300lb Woman Trapped in Waist-Deep Raw Sewage For Three days

Last week, police was called to the Boyertown, Pennsylvania home of 59-year-old Roselyn Willis. In the basement of the dilapidated and all-around filthy home, they found Roselyn waist-deep in water, fuel oil and raw sewage. Apparently, as she was going down the stairs to check a circuit breaker, the stairs collapsed, trapping Roselyn, who weights upwards of 300 pounds, in the basement for days until a concerned neighbor went to the home and found her. It took rescuers more than four hours to free the women. They town also padlocked the doors and deemed the property uninhabitable.

Coroner Returns Dead Woman's Personal Effects to Her Husband -- Covered in Decayed Flesh

In news almost as bad as the hospital who staged a photo shoot with a woman's dead baby then mailed her the photos, is this story out of Aiken County, South Carolina. Wendell Baughman is a grieving husband. After his wife, Melody, took her own life earlier this year, the Aiken County Coroner's Office finally returned her jewelry and other personal effects to Wendell in an evidence bag. But Wendell can't bear to look at even -- much less open it -- because of the overwhelming odor of decayed human flesh. "It still had decayed body matter and hair and things like that in her jewelry, and they handed it to me that way in the bag and said that they did the best they could with it," he said. The coroner says his staff "cleans personal items as thoroughly as possible" before they're handed over to family members. Right. This is the same city which police took weeks to locate Melody's body, which was feet away from the trailer home she shared with Wendell.

Lady Finds Shank in Bag of Jolly Ranchers

Amy Hu was enjoying some delicious Jolly Rancher Crunch and Chew when she found an unusual object. According to Amy, she ate two pieces first then went back in for my third and pulled out a dull, rusty razor blade partially wrapped in white tape. She contacted the Hershey Company, which manufactures the candy, and they offered her three bags of candy. She declined and alerted the media.

Lady Tries to Break into Jail

Poor Tiffany Hurd. Early Sunday morning deputies responded to a call that a woman was attempting to climb over a barbed wire fence that surrounds the Butler County jail in Hamilton, Ohio. When stunned jailers told her to leave, Tiffany replied: "I want to be arrested." The jailers were glad to oblige. This sort of thing is not uncommon. This idiot also tried to break to into a jail, so did this one and this man who successfully broke into a jail every night for one month to have sex with his girlfriend.

White Church to Black Couple a Day Before Their Wedding: We Don't Allow Black Weddings

Things Christian people do never cease to amaze us. Last week, Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson were preparing to get married at First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs (that's in Mississippi, y'all), but the day before the ceremony, the pastor informed them that the white members of the "predominately" white church objected to the wedding taking place at the sanctuary. "The church congregation had decided no black could be married at that church and that if he went on to marry her, then they would vote [the pastor] out the church," said Charles Wilson. "I blame the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, I blame those members who knew and call themselves Christians and didn't stand up." Te'Andrea adds: "...People in the sanctuary ... were pitching a fit about us being a black couple. I didn't like it at all cause I wasn't brought up to be racist, I was brought up to love and care for everybody." Here's the rub: Charles and Te'Andrea attend the church regularly. (The pastor of the racist church performed the wedding at a neighboring church.)

Pr0stitute Interrupts TV Interview to Solicit Reporter

I can't with this story. Can NOT! As a reporter was interviewing a Savannah, Georgia police officer about the dangers of prostitution and HIV, a woman -- identified only as Rhonda -- approached the men and attempted to solicit the reporter for $10. "I'm a prostitute, just out of prison, and back on the streets," she said. When asked why she's chose to do this sort of work, Rhonda tells the reporter: "Department of Labor is giving no jobs. McDonald's, Burger King ain't hiring. The only thing left for a woman to do in Savannah is sell their body. Prostitution ain't nothing bad. It happened long time ago. It happened in Jesus Christ's time." I just can't.

Tranny Who Injected Cement into Women's Butts Has Killed Someone

Oneal Morris -- the tranny who made national headlines last November after she was arrested for injecting cement, bathroom caulk, Super Glue, Fix-A-Flat and mineral oil into the bodies of several people at pumping parties around Florida -- has just caught a major charge. The Broward County DA has announced Oneal was arrested and charged with manslaughter stemming from the death of 32-year-old Shatarka Nuby, who passed away in March from "massive systemic silicone migration." Earlier this month, a woman was sentenced to 3 years in prison for almost killing a woman who she injected with caulk. If we've said it once, we've said it 100 times: pumping parties kill.


This is Oneal's initial court hearing. Bond was set at $150,000 bond and she must surrender her passport.

Hundreds of People Confront Dallas Police After an Officer Shot and Killed a Drug Dealer

Things just got real in Dallas. Earlier this afternoon, cops swooped down on a known crack house after they received 911 call that someone had been tied up by “five to six Latin males all with guns." Four men in the house immediately fled. An officer gave chase to 31-year-old James Harper. They got into several fights as James ran through an alley and jumped over several fences. James was beating the cop's ass and reportedly told the officer: “You’re gonna have to kill me.” It was at that time the officer, who was physically tired of fighting, claimed he felt threatened and shot and killed James. (James, who was not armed, was shot in the torso.) As news of the shooting spread, more than 300 people and members of James' family showed up at the scene and confronted police wanting to know why they shot their son "in the back" for "no reason." Have they seen James' rap sheet? According to the police chief, James was either arrested and/or convicted of all sort of crimes, including manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance, probation violations, assault on a security officer, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, assault on a public servant, evading arrest, failure to identify as a fugitive from justice and car theft.

A Donkey Gon' Do What a Donkey Gon' Do

We really can't feel sorry for this donkey. 36-year-old William Bonner was at a bar in Augusta, Georgia last Thursday when he thought it would be a great idea if he allowed his friends to pour rum on his head then set his face on fire. William, who suffered second-degree burns on his face and head, tells a local TV station: "Obviously, it wasn’t supposed to end up happening like that, but it did, so you can’t be mad." He adds: "I don’t need someone else to feel sorry for me....I hope nobody else would do anything as stupid as this.” We hope not.

34-year-old Jailed After Her Grandson Ate Crack

A 34-year-old grandmother sought by police in Palmetto, Georgia after her grandson ingested crack cocaine surrendered to authorities Tuesday afternoon. According to police, last weekend Ebony Daniel and her boyfriend (Charlie Martin, 22) was supposed to be watching her 13-month-old grandson, Jay'von Daniel, as the boy's mother took a shower. When the boy's mother (17-year-old Andrica Daniel) finished her shower, she said Charlie was upset and asked: "Man shorty, what happened to my crack?" Apparently, Jay'von ate the drugs, which was sitting on a table. He was rushed to local hospital, where he tested positive for cocaine. Andrica is not facing any charges. However, grandma and her boyfriend are charged with possession of cocaine, cruelty to children in the first degree and reckless conduct.

Update: Cops have decided to charge Andrica, after all.

Sherman Hemsley is Dead

Sherman Hemsley, the actor who played George Jefferson on "The Jeffersons," a 1970s sitcom that was one of the first to focus on a black family's move up the social ladder, was found dead at his home in El Paso, Texas on Tuesday. He's believed to have died of natural causes, however, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. He was 74. He was also gay.



UPDATE, Aug 8: The El Paso Medical Examiner's Office has determined that Sherman suffered from "super vena cava syndrome." The syndrome was a result of lung cancer. The ME found a "mass" on the actor's lung. According to the National Cancer Institute, superior vena cava syndrome occurs when the superior vena cava -- one of the body's major veins -- is obstructed, most commonly because of a cancer or tumor. The superior vena cava is responsible for returning blood to the heart that comes from the upper part of the body.

Janet, Jermaine, Randy Jackson Tried to Kidnap Michael Jackson's Children

It's going down in Calabasas, California! According to multiple reports, Janet Jackson -- along with her brothers, Jermaine and Randy -- broke down the gate of their mother's compound and forcibly tried to take Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket away. According to reports, Janet slapped Paris during the scuffle and said: “You’re a spoiled little bitch!” (Surveillance video of the botched kidnapping and altercation is above.) If you believe one report, this plan to kidnap the late Michael Jackson three kids has been in the works for three years! Oh, did we forget to mention that they "kidnapped" their own mother? Katherine Jackson has been at an undisclosed location in Arizona for nine days and has had no contact with Michael's three kids, whom she is supposed to be taking care of. Janet, Randy and Jermaine claim their 82-year-old mother a mini-stroke" and is currently staying with daughter Rebbie. Janet and her brothers were attempting to take the kids to Tucson, Arizona to be with Katherine. A mess!


In a statement to Roger Friedman, Katherine's lawyers say: “Yesterday afternoon certain Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson’s home after their vehicle tore through security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson’s children. After exiting their vehicles, Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands. Out of concern for the well being of Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson, the children were forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene. Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren. Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson have not heard from their grandmother since she left their home nine days ago to attend a series of her sons’ concerts on their Unity Tour. She never made the shows. Despite efforts to interview Katherine Jackson at her current location in Arizona yesterday, Los Angeles County Sheriffs confirmed that they were denied access to Mrs. Jackson by security for one of her children."

Meanwhile, the folks over at TMZ have more on the foiled abduction of Michael's three kids.

Sources who were there say two SUVs with Randy, Jermaine and Janet inside, followed a car driving Michael Jackson's 3 kids inside the gates. We're told Randy, Jermaine and Janet did not have authority to enter. Once on the grounds, we're told MJ's 3 siblings tried to strong-arm Paris, Prince and Blanket. Their mission was to get them in an SUV and take them to Arizona, where Katherine has been staying. Our sources say at one point Janet tried to grab a resistant Paris' cell phone, a scuffle ensued and Janet slapped the teenager, screaming, "You're a spoiled little bitch!" We're told Paris fired back with her own slap and told Janet, "This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f**k out!" At the same time, we're told Trent Jackson, who was at the house, tried to stop an aggressive Randy and Jermaine. We're told Trent put Randy in a headlock and punched Jermaine in the mouth.

Janet and her brothers have since been barred from stepping foot on the property and TJ Jackson -- the son of Tito -- has started the process to gain temporary custody of Michael's three kids. Someone call DFCS!

Late this afternoon, Randy Jackson called into Rev Al's show on MSNBC to plead his case.


Randy says they "went to the hope to let Paris and Prince know they can talk to their grandmother at anytime.. when we got to the home we were denied access to our own home by security..this is all in an effort to deflect attention away from a letter asking for the resignation of John Branca and John McClain....because of criminal misconduct on their part..." Randy says the will -- which leaves all of Michael's money to his grandmother and his three children and not a cent any of his siblings -- is fake. Randy and papa Joe Jackson challenged the will in court. They lost. Oh, Randy claims her and his siblings are not after Michael's estimated $1 billion fortune. Yeah, sure.

Update, July 25: Katherine Jackson finally called Michael's three kids last night. Since her children's plan to overthrow the executors failed, she is planning to return to California. Again we ask: What has Janet, Jermaine and Randy done with their father, Joe?

Update 2: This just got stranger. This morning a California judge appointed TJ Jackson as temporary guardian of Michael's three kids. (He plans to file for permanent guardianship within the coming days.) At the hearing this morning, Katherine's lawyer Sandra Ribera told the judge: "I have reason to believe [Kathrine] is being held or has been held against her will." TJ told the judge he got a "strange" call last night from Katherine in which she was slurring her words and was trying to tell him in code she was being held without her will.

And oh, by the way, where's Latoya?!!! Is she safe?

Update # 3: Joe Jackson has been found.

Update #4: Katherine hasn't arrived in California yet, but she issued this statement -- which was probably written by her captures Janet, Jermaine or Randy -- to ABC News. "Hello, I'm Katherine Jackson, and there are rumors going around about me that I have been kidnapped and held against my will. I am here today to let everybody know that I am fine and I am here with my children, and my children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will. It's very stupid for people to think that. But anyway, I am devastated that while I've been away, that my children, my grandchildren, have been taken away from me, and I'm coming home to see about that, also. So I spoke to my grandson, TJ, last night, that I left there to be in charge of my children -- and I never leave home without leaving them with instructions of who to stay there with them, the nanny and all of them -- and someone had let go the cook, the nanny, and also the housekeepers. I don't know who did that but they don't have that power and they shouldn't have done it. And now, the people are saying they are there with nothing to eat. I am sure they have something to eat but it's probably not healthy because the cook is not there. But since I have also been away, my guardianship, which I just said, my children, have been taken away from me, my guardianship has been taken away from me. And, but, I spoke to my grandson TJ and also I spoke to Prince and Paris last night and told him I would be home today and they're waiting for me to come. And I told him it wasn't necessary for him to go down and sign for guardianship. ... I don't know who instructed him to do that -- but that's what, but he wanted me to come home before that happened, but the ruling in court today was about the guardianship and I think it was based on a bunch of lies, but I have a good idea who's doing that and who's behind that. But I am grateful for my children that they saw that I needed rest and they wanted to take me away for a while, just a short vacation and rest up. But one thing I have to say ... that I'm here at Miraval. They have taken good care of me and have made sure that I got the rest that I needed. One reason I haven't called is I just gave up my phone and I didn't want to have any phone calls while I was here. My assistant, Janice Smith, have been calling back home to see how things were going and she had been keeping in contact with my nephew, I mean my grandson, and he says everything is going fine. But I was still thinking about the children and I still worry about them, but they are fine. Before I left, as I said, I put everything in order with the appropriate people to take care of my children for me and it's really bad to hear that what's going on at home, and the children have been taken away -- but I know that ... I'll get there in time to get them back. And after I finish this, I will be on my way home. I have to thank Miraval again for taking very good care of me and making sure I got good rest. We don't get much -- we saw an electric show because it was lightening and we saw a rainbow. I had a very good time here -- and if anyone wants to rest I think they should come here. Because there's a lot of lies that have been put out there and I am going home to straighten them out and this kind of stuff doesn't make sense. So I want to say goodbye and I am on my way home." 9-year-old Boy Attacks Babies at Day Care Center

This is some of the most shocking video footage we've seen in a while. Earlier this month, surveillance camera caught a 9-year-old's reign of terror over a room of infants at the Kiddie City Childcare Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In the shocking video, the boy can be seen punching one girl multiple times and choking, kicking and violently shaking others. This went on for 15-20 minutes. The boy's aunt tells a local TV station: "He bad. He fight but he don't fight little babies. He do also have a problem. He take medicine every day and he just a normal child." Say what now?

Sidebar: 22-year-old Jamie Williams, the father of a 1-year-old girl who was attacked was arrested and charged with assault after he showed up at the daycare and slapped a boy he thought was responsible. The 9-year-old ruffian was expelled from the daycare and cops arrested former daycare worker Sandra Trevillion. She's charged with two counts of contributing to the neglect of a minor. The Department of Human Services is also investigating the incidents, and other charges could be filed.

Polygamist Goes Out With a Bang

We don't believe most of the stories coming out of Africa. They're usually bizarre and downright ridiculous. According to a new report, a wealthy Nigerian man named Uroko Onoja was raped to death by his six jealous wives.

On the fateful Tuesday morning, at about 3 am, Uroko was said to have returned from a popular joint in the community, heading straight for the room of his youngest wife. However, according to this youngest wife, she and her co-wives had earlier on conspired that they would invade her room with knives and sticks whenever their husband came in to her, demanding that their husband have sex with all of them at once. Uroko resisted their attack, but he was overpowered by the women who ordered that the sex march begin with the youngest wife and to continue in that order to the top. He had however stopped breathing when the fifth woman was making her way to the bed. The youngest wife explains, “Suddenly, my husband stopped breathing, and they all ran out, still laughing, but when they saw that I could not resuscitate him, they all ran into the forest.” The deceased’s body has since been deposited in a nearby mortuary. The village head, Okpe Odoh affirmed that the matter had been reported to the police and investigation was ongoing even as the youth of the community are helping the police in search of the escaped wives. Two of them have so far been apprehended.

Lady Calls 911 to Complain About Her Mugshot

Last week, 45-year-old Tonya Ann Fowler of Commerce, Georgia was arrested and charged with misusing the 911 system after she called 911 to complain about a mug shot (above) taken following a prior arrest for making terroristic threats. According to police, Tonya saw herself on the cover of “Bad & Busted,” a local publication that compiles images of recent arrestees and she was not happy with "how she looked." On the upside, she did get to pose for a new mug shot. It's below.

NFLer Terrell Owens Avoids Jail Time, Agrees to Pay Baby Mama $20K in Back Child Support

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Terrell "TO" Owens has finally decided to man up and take care of his child. The 38-year-old showed up to a child support hearing today (had he not, he would've been arrested and thrown behind bars) in Atlanta and agreed to pay $20,000 in back support and the regular $5,000 per month in child support (which he was ordered to pay in 2007) to Melanie Smith, the mother of his 7-year-old daughter. He also agreed to pay Melanie's $12,000 attorney’s fees. In previous statements, TO claimed Melanie was a gold digger and couldn't afford the monthly payments for his daughter, who he has only seen "eight to 10 times" since she was born. Melanie says if TO fails to follow through, she'll drag his ass back in court.

Did a San Francisco Police Officer Shoot a Handcuffed Man Dead?

This morning, a 30-year-old Cambodian man who works at a San Francisco chocolate factory stabbed a fellow employee in the arm with a box cutter the fled. Police responding to the stabbing pursued the suspect several blocks before finally cornering him. According to the SFPD, "a female officer ordered the man to stop and drop the weapon, but the man instead lunged at her with the box cutter and was stopped by two bullets in the chest at close range." (Other reports say he was shot in the torso.) The man fell to the ground and officers handcuffed. When they turned him over they saw he'd been hit, so they removed the handcuffs and began CPR. Sounds suspect. If the officer "stopped" him by putting two bullets into his chest/torso at "close range" why are they surprised that he was hit. Eyewitnesses have a different story. At least two citizens say the man was shot while handcuffed. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. (The stabbing victim was treated the hospital and released. It's unclear what prompted the stab-ation.)

Man Gets Job After Threatening to Cut Off Boss's Fingers

Here's a job interview skill you've probably never heard of -- and should never try.

An out of work 26-year-old from eastern Sweden who threatened to cut off a business owner's fingers after being denied a job is facing criminal charges for the violent threat. The incident took place after the 26-year-old man's unsuccessful attempt to land a job at a small business owned by a man in Hudiksvall in eastern Sweden, the local Hudiksvall Tidning newspaper reported. Following the failed job interview attempt, the 26-year-old became enraged and drove over to the business owner's home, equipped with a bag containing a pair of pliers, an iron pipe, a hunting knife, and a cutting board. Upon arrival, the scorned job seeker first threatened to kill the man and his family. He then told the shocked business owner he would to cut off his fingers if he wasn't offered a job. The frightened business owner finally relented to the 26-year-old's demands, and agreed to offer him a job with the company. He also agreed to give his car to the 26-year-old, even signing an ownership transfer certificate. A few days later, however, the business owner reported the incident to police, who promptly arrested the 26-year-old. According to the paper, police have received reports that the 26-year-old threatened three other people in Hudiksvall. He is now facing charges for blackmail, assault, making illegal threats, and obstruction of justice.

This is not supposed to be funny, but forgive us, it's hilarious! Last Friday, surveillance cameras were rolling as a genius on a motorized wheelchair tried to go up an escalator at a Boston subway station. She rolled over a few times before passengers and MBTA workers rushed to her aid. She eventually WALKED away without any major injuries.

A 36-year-old woman from Belleville, Illinois was cited by people Saturday night after he repeatedly called 911 to complain that her boyfriend would not give her any more beer. In one of the calls to 911, Shannon White told the dispatcher: “Tonight he took away my beer and I want to drink some beer, and he took away my beer.” She made several similar calls.

Pastor Suspected of Cheating on Wife Sues Sprint for Invasion of Privacy

Carl J. Mimms III, pastor of the Freedom Tabernacle of Praise Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a piece of work. After his wife, Diane Mimms, suspected he was jumping off with a woman whose name is Wendy Taylor, she began to gather evidence. Realizing that his wife was on track to unveil the truth, the pastor tried to cover his tracks by calling Sprint and requested they add a passcode to his account and "to not allow anyone to have access to his account except for him." He also requested the company "shut down the Internet access to his account." It's in his lawsuit, which you can read, below. Anywho, despite his efforts, Diane was able to get her hands on all of the pastor's cell phone call logs and [insert swoop-down sound effect here] confronted him about the numerous calls he made to Wendy. But Diane didn't stop there: She summoned a meeting at the church where she also confronted pastor Mimms in front of several church members about his many calls to the alleged jumpoff. Awkward. The pastor now claims because Sprint released his call logs to his wife he suffered physical, mental and emotional distress. He's not done: He also claims he was humiliated, his reputation was damaged and he suffered pain and suffering. And the pièce de résistance: Pastor Mimms says his conversations with a Sprint employee caused his "blood pressure to increase, his head to perspire, and his heart rate to increase." Bwahahahahahaha!!!

Bank Closes Woman's Account Because She's From Cuba

We could be wrong, but this sounds all sorts of illegal. Carmen Bermudez -- an American citizen of Cuban origin -- says the MetroBank in Kennesaw, Georgia abruptly closed her business account last month. She tells the local ABC affiliate a bank official called her into his office, handed her a check and told her: "We do not do business with Cubans here." Oh, hell no! When asked about their discriminatory practices, a bank official told WSB: "We are aware of some concerns recently raised. The same laws and various other regulations previously cited, preclude any discussion of a customer matter except with the customer themselves."

Last Friday night, a woman says a man grabbed her butt on the NYC subway. The groper -- identified as 30-year-old Victor Sigler -- fled, but the woman gave chase. Victor board another train and the woman alerted those passengers that what he did. Passengers sprung into action and Victor -- well, he'll never grab another woman's ass on the subway again. Neighbors Plan to Block Permanent Memorial to Trayvon Martin

Residents of the Retreats at Twin Lakes subdivision -- where Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by George Zimmerman on Feb. 26 -- say they're all for a permanent memorial dedicated to the unarmed teenager, but they don't want it in their backyards. Or should we say, front yards.

"This was a tragedy to the Martin family, as we understand, but it hasn't played out yet," said Frank Taafe, a Zimmerman supporter and former neighbor. "Let's let this thing play out, because I know who the aggressor was and I know who the victim was." Monday, Taaffe began going door-to-door with a pre-emptive strike to prevent a permanent reminder from being placed outside his neighborhood gates. As Taaffe gathers signatures from his neighbors, the city manager and mayor told Local 6 there has not been any official proposal made to create a permanent memorial anywhere. However, Mayor Jeff Triplett confirmed there was a discussion last week with Martin family supporters. Though nothing has been decided, that's not stopping people from signing a petition before any proposal is made. "We've [got] no problem with memorials. If they want to place one in downtown Sanford, fine. Just don't put it in front of our place here," said Taaffe. "I just hope and pray that everyone realizes that a tragedy did happen here and no one's gloating over this." Taaffe said he and others plan to present the petition to the city commission meeting next week and Tuesday there will be a homeowner's association meeting where he's hoping to discuss the petition and gather more signatures.

FDA Approves Drug That Prevents HIV Infection

The fight against HIV/AIDS just got easier for some. The Food and Drug Administration approved Truvada -- a combination of two medicines that make it harder for HIV to multiply in the body -- as the first drug shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection.

Gilead Sciences Inc. has marketed Truvada since 2004 as a treatment for people who are already infected with the virus. But starting in 2010, studies showed that the drug could actually prevent people from contracting HIV when used as a precautionary measure. A three-year study found that daily doses cut the risk of infection in healthy gay and bisexual men by 42 percent, when accompanied by condoms and counseling. Last year another study found that Truvada reduced infection by 75 percent in heterosexual couples in which one partner was infected with HIV and the other was not. Because Truvada is on the market to manage HIV, some doctors already prescribe it as a preventive measure.

The FDA said possible serious side effects were kidney problems and bone loss but that these weren't common. The less serious but more common side effects were nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, the agency said. There are about 1.2 million people in the United States who are infected with HIV and about 50,000 new infections are diagnosed each year.

Woman Says She Was Raped at Gay Strip Club

Police in Atlanta, Georgia may have fumbled yet another investigation and make it difficult to investigate the allegations brought by a woman who says she was raped by two male dancers in the VIP room at Swinging Richard’s (sidebar: How awesome is that name?!), a gay strip club in Atlanta on June 9. The woman, who was drunk, so her memory of the events of that night are cloudy. No other information about the actual assault has been released and cops weren't allowed to search the club until July 3. We wonder how successful they were obtaining evidence from a crime scene almost a month after someone was assaulted. Since we like be nosey, we did some "Interneting" and learned that the club is popular with women. Apparently, women by the car and bus loads go to the the all-nude Swinging Richard’s (snickers) to party and for bachelorette parties. Half of the people there are usually women and they mostly get pissy drunk! Most of the strippers identify themselves as straight -- but we all know, a toe is a toe. Ehaow!

Woman Fired After She Refused to Have Her Boss's Babies

A woman -- who quit her job at the United Cerebral Palsy Heartland in Jefferson City, Missouri after her female boss asked her to move in with her and her husband, have sex with her husband and bear their children -- has slapped everyone involved with a federal lawsuit. According to the suit, Kristen Stratman said supervisor Diane Ferguson approached her on Aug. 16, 2011 "and suggested that she move into the Fergusons' home and sleep with her husband, defendant Weston Ferguson." But there were perks. The Fergusons "offered to provide free room and board to plaintiff if she would sleep with defendant Weston Ferguson and bear him children." The next day Diane asked Kristen if she would accept the offer, but Kristen felt the workplace has now become a sexually hostile one and so she left on Aug. 17, never to return. According to the lawsuit, she was "constructively discharged" and is seeking her full salary (including back pay) and punitive damages for emotional distress, psychological damage, gender discrimination and education debt due to loss of grant money.

Man Who Stole a Car, Tried to Rob a Store at Gunpoint and Led Police on a 10-Mile Chase: 'I Was Drugged'

Eric Keng had a very bad Tuesday night. The 20-year-old college student is behind bars after he smashed a driver's windshield with a golf club, tried to carjack two people, successfully carjacked a third and tried to rob a convenience store at gunpoint. He was waving a gun and demanding “one of everything” before an employee recognized him as a regular customer. Then he led police on a 10-mile chase through the streets of Dallas in the stolen vehicle before he crashed into a guardrail. He then tried to run away from the scene, but was caught by officers and pepper sprayed. Now, in a jailhouse interview, Eric says "I think I was drugged." He believes a friend tainted the C4 (a bodybuilding supplement) he took before he went on his crime spree, ended up with an awesome mugshot and behind bars.

Rapper Arrested For Buying Thousands of Stolen Credit Card Numbers

With record industry not what it once was and rappers not putting their monies in retirement funds or buying health insurance, when the checks stop coming some have to turn to a life of crime. For example, Guerrilla Black (a 33-year-old rapper whose real name is Charles Tony Williamson and we've never heard of before today) was arrested at his Los Angeles home and charged with 22-count indictment stemming from him buying thousand (and me mean, THOUSANDS) of stolen credit card numbers. (The numbers were stolen from credit cards used at two restaurants in Seattle.)

Williamson’s alleged conspirators David Benjamin Schrooten, 22, of the Netherlands, and Christopher A. Schroebel, 21, of Keedysville, Md., were indicted previously; Schroebel has since pleaded guilty. Prosecutors contend the young men stole and sold the credit card information, which Williamson put to use within hours of the thefts. Prosecutors claim Williamson received at least 27,257 stolen credit card numbers and stole at least $150,000. Williamson is alleged to have emailed instructions to Schroebel and Schrooten, telling them that he wanted to purchase “dumps” of stolen credit card numbers in lots of 100, 500 or more. “Today’s arrest shows that criminals cannot hide in cyberspace. We will prosecute all parts of the criminal gang – regardless of where they may be,” U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan said in a statement.

DC Police Officer Threatened to Shoot Michelle Obama

Say what now? A Washington, DC police officer who worked as a motorcycle escort for White House officials and other dignitaries was moved to administrative duty Wednesday after he allegedly was overheard threatening to shoot first lady Michelle Obama, according to the Washington Post.

The motorman allegedly made the comments Wednesday morning as several officers from the Special Operations Division discussed threats against the Obamas. It was not immediately clear where the alleged conversation took place or exactly how many officers took part in the conversation. During that conversation, the officials said, the officer allegedly said he would shoot the First Lady and then used his phone to retrieve a picture of the firearm he said he would use. It was not immediately clear what type of firearm was allegedly shown. An officer overheard the alleged threat and reported it to a police lieutenant at the Division, who immediately notified superiors, the officials said. “We received an allegation that inappropriate comments were made. We are currently investigating the nature of those comments,” D.C. police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said in an e-mail. She declined to discuss the matter further. Police officials declined to identify the officer. Officials from the U.S. Attorney’s office declined comment.

Woman Gets 3 Years in Prison For Performing Illegal Butt Injections at Pumping Parties

An Atlanta woman was sentenced to three years in federal prison for injecting industrial strength silicone into the buttocks of strippers across the country at pumping parties. Kimberly Smedley was arrested last year and pled guilty in March. She faced faced five years in prison and $250,000 in fines. In court this afternoon, a judge sentenced her to three years in prison, followed by three years of supervised probation. She was also fined $25,000 and ordered to pay $8,000 in medical help to a Baltimore stripper who almost died after she paid Kimberley thousands of dollars for butt injections. According to prosecutors, Kimberley told the strippers she was using medical-grade silicone. The strippers paid between $500 and $1,600 in cash for each session. (It's believed Kimberly made at least $1.3 million during her illegal operation.) During their investigation prosecutors also found that she ordered more than 4,900 pounds of silicone from a hardware store at a cost of more than $20,000. Pumping parties kill.

Rapper Beanie Sigel Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison For Tax Evasion

Rapper Beanie Sigel -- who pleaded guilty to in August 2011 to failing to file federal income tax returns for the years 2003 through 2005 -- was sentenced this afternoon to two years in prison.

IRS investigators found that Sigel did not file tax returns from 1999 through 2002, except for a $10,000 tax payment in 2001. Federal prosecutors said that Sigel earned more than $2.2 million in taxable income between 1999 and 2005 and owed Uncle Sam $728,536 for those six years. (He was not charged with tax offenses for the years 1999 through 2002 because the statute of limitations had expired.) Sigel told DuBois he accepted "total responsibility" for not paying his taxes but also told the court some family members he didn't identify abused his trust in them and took advantage of his earnings to live it up while he was serving time in 2004 and 2005 for federal drug and gun offenses. Consequently, "I haven't been able to get my career back on track since," Sigel said, adding that he "didn't live a lavish lifestyle" while dodging his taxes. DuBois reminded Sigel that even if others "diverted" his earnings for their personal benefit "it was your call not to pay taxes." Federal prosecutors had sought a guideline sentence of three years, but DuBois said two years was sufficient to meet the goals of sentencing. "I think you might have violated the tax code for the last time," the judge said. The rap performer, who is releasing a new album next month and was recently hospitalized with hypertension and related ailments, is no stranger to the criminal justice system. According to court records, he was twice adjudged a juvenile delinquent, has three state convictions for drug distribution, possession and assault in addition to the prior federal conviction for drug possession and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Sigel was acquitted in 2005 of state charges on attempted murder and related offenses.

Madonna Sued For Illegally Sampling Music On Her Megahit 'Vogue'

The record company behind a 1977 tune has slapped Madonna with a copyright infringement lawsuit, claiming the singer illegally sampled the horns and strings from their song "Chicago Bus Stop (Ooh, I love It) (Love Break)" and used it throughout her most popular song "Vogue" without permission or paying for it. "The unauthorized sampling was deliberately hidden ...within 'Vogue' so as to avoid to avoid detection," the complaint said. If you're like us, you're wondering why they waited 22 years to file this lawsuit. Well, VMG Salsoul LLC says in its complaint the samples were so masterfully hidden that the technology to detect it just became available in 2011. After they confirmed that "Vogue" was indeed sampling their song, VMG Salsoul LLC sent Madonna two notices of copyright infringement, but she told them: Put that where? Way back there! They're is seeking unspecified damaged, plus all profits made from the "Vogue." While this lawsuit will probably get settled, the courts are split on whether sampling of music is illegal. There are two main defenses to sampling lawsuits, according to FindLaw, is fair use and de minimis use. According to the site: "Fair use is a highly complicated analysis that requires the weighing of a number of factors. There is no bright-line rule when it comes to sampling. The same goes for de minimis use. When a litigant asserts this defense, he is arguing that the sampled portion is so negligible that the court shouldn't even bother with a fair use analysis. There is no copyright infringement to be found."

Cop Hits Woman in Crosswalk With Police Car

An Austin police officer was suspended for ONE WHOLE DAY for hitting a woman in a crosswalk with his patrol car last May. Officer Carlos Mayfield, who was distracted from either paying too much attention to some bicyclists or looking at his laptop, said he didn't see the woman. BTW: The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. She has yet to sue the city of Austin -- be we all know that will come.

Pastor Jailed For Setting Fire to Her Home For Insurance Money

Bridgett Barnes Steib, the pastor at The Ministry of Love Church in Zachary, Louisiana, is behind bars -- on her knees praying to God, no doubt -- after she was arrested today on arson charges after she set fire to her million dollar home. According to reports, she recently took out a new insurance policy on the home. Her sister was also arrested.

Evander Holyfield Gets Evicted After Losing 109-Room Mansion to Foreclosure

Poor Evander Holyfield. Like millions of Americans who can't manage to keep up with their mortgage payments, the former heavyweight boxing champ has lost his home to foreclosure. But, unlike millions of Americans, Evander was living way too large. The 5,000-square-metre mansion in the Atlanta area with 109 rooms (including 17 bathrooms, three kitchens and a bowling alley) has been in foreclosure since 2009 after the bank placed a lien on the home because Evander defaulted on a loan -- twice. The home was placed on the auction block that year, but was saved. However, last March, the home was sold to JP Morgan Chase for $7.5 million in a foreclosure auction. Evander owed more than $14 million on the home at the time of the auction. Tuesday was moving day.

Lady Found Asleep in Middle of the Street with 3-year-old Son

An Indianapolis Mother of the Year was arrested after police found her and her 3-year-old son lying in the middle of the road early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of Rolling Oak Drive, near 21st Street and Girls School Road, just after 3 a.m. Sunday on a report of a person down. They found an unresponsive woman and child lying in the middle of the street, police said. According to the police report, the officer had to raise his voice to wake the woman, who was later identified as Michelle McFall, 24. McFall, who smelled of alcohol and had trouble talking, became confrontational with police, telling the officer, "she was not in the middle of the road and she and her son were fine and were resting," according to the police report. When medics tried to check on the 3-year-old boy, who awoke when his mother began screaming, McFall "staggered to her feet and attempted to lunge for the medics," the report said. McFall's blood-alcohol content registered at 0.225, police said. She told police that she and her son had been visiting her husband, who she separated from a month ago, earlier in the day. Witnesses said McFall became intoxicated and belligerent after her husband received a call from his girlfriend. McFall was arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and neglect of a dependent. Her 3-year-old son was unharmed. He was taken into custody by the Department of Child Services.

Rapper Gives Tour of His Dogfighting Operation

Detroit rapper Young Calicoe is donkey. In a video which has now gone viral -- and garnered the attention of the Detroit Police Department and district attorney -- he boasts of his involvement in illegal cockfighting and dogfighting. In the five-minute video, he takes viewers on an MTV Cribs-tyle tour and proudly shows off his illegal operation. "Pit bulls. We've got some roosters. We fight them, too," he says, then points to a rooster in a cage. "That's a grand champ right there." At the start of the video, he knows what he is doing is illegal. He says: "I hope we don't get indicted for that, that Michael Vick-type (expletive)." You probably will. Idiot. Sidebar: Obviously, people are looking to get at him. In one tweet, Calicoe says: "If u find a video of me 'FIGHTING DOGS' PLEEEEZE LET ME KNO." He even offered to give a local TV station a tour of the property. You know, now that he's gotten rid of or moved the dogs and roosters.

Update, July 12: Shocker! The idiot's home was raided by Michigan Humane Society investigators and officers from the Detroit police department on July 11. They seized roosters and pit bulls. Cops haven't said if they made any arrests or what the charges might be. He wasn't even bright enough to remove the roosters and pit bulls from the property knowing that cops will show up? Hee-haw!

Bouny Hunter Arrests Wrong Woman, Then Refuses to Set Her Free Until She Pays Him Money For Gas

The thought of being dragged from your home in handcuffs is probably every one's worst nightmares, but for Becki Terry of Savannah, Georgia, it was so real. She claims she was at home with her fiancé on the morning of Feb. 27 when a bounty hunter knocked on the door and asked for her. The man -- who wouldn't identify himself or gave an explanation as to why he was arresting her -- told her she was under arrest and took her away in handcuffs. When they arrived at the jail, the corporal told him he had the wrong woman and there was no arrest record for Becki. He also told the bounty hunter to take the woman back to her home. The bounty hunter, however, who still wouldn't identify himself, demanded she pay him money for gas. Becki called her fiancé who gave the man $20 before he would set her free. Later that morning, Becki called Savannah Bail Bonding demanding an explanation. They said they were "sorry" and that this "happens all the time." She's filed a lawsuit for negligence, battery, false arrest, false imprisonment and infliction of emotional distress.

Lady Beats Up Pregnant Cousin Over a Cell Phone

This is by far one of the most ridiculous things we've heard in a long time. It's beyond. Beyond! Arneshia Jones says her cousin brutally attacked her over a cell phone which was a gift from her grandmother. Arneshia, by the way, is seven months pregnant. She says her cousin, 24-year-old Jalissa Marshall, kicked her in the stomach and the face while demanding she hand over the phone, but Arneshia wasn't having any of it. Jalissa and her husband, Torin Marshall (who pulled a gun on Arneshia during the beatdown), were both arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Sidebar: Arneshia's unborn child was not injured.

School to Bullied Lesbian Teen: It's Your Fault, Don't Be So Gay

With so many bullied gay and lesbian teens taking their own lives, one would think schools would be more tolerant and protect the victims. But not in Sweden. A lesbian teenager at a school in southern Sweden reported that she was being bullied to her teachers, they told her it's her own fault and she should "tone down" her gayness because other students were "confused and scared" by it. Oh, hell to no! The girl, who has to switch schools because of the bullying, has since filed a discrimination complaint against the school with the Swedish gender equality agency.

According to the girl's report, the incidents began when she was assaulted in 2010 by a fellow student who had hit her in the head, causing a minor head fracture. “She threatened to shove pliers into my eyes and then she took hold of the pliers and delivered three hefty hits against my temples and the area close to my eyes,” the girl wrote in the report. When she later consulted the school about the incident, teachers told her it was all her own fault. According to the report, the school told her: “You’re the one to blame. It was your own fault. You provoked her,” adding that she should have “just hit back.” After online research, the girl discovered that the school must report any mistreatment that occurs during school hours, and confronted the school, only to be told that it was up to her to make a report. The case is now being handled by the DO, but before any compensation decisions are made, the school will be given the chance to comment, according to [the Swedish Equality Ombudsman] case officer Sara Stenberg.
